About Sue Adair:
Sue Adair is Director of Education for Goddard Systems, Inc. (GSI), the franchisor of Goddard Schools.
As an expert in early childhood development and learning, Sue oversees teacher training and early childhood education programs for 360+ Goddard Schools across the United States.
In her 21+ year career in early childhood education, Sue has taught multiple age groups ranging from infants through Kindergarten in both private and corporate childcare settings, and has seven years’ experience as a school director, including several years at The Goddard School for Early Childhood Development located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
Sue is responsible for managing the Goddard Systems University (GSU) program, which helps ensure the ongoing training and development of Goddard teachers. GSU training has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and supports the on-going training of Goddard teachers by providing regional classes on a quarterly basis as well as on-site training by Corporate Representatives. Through GSU, Goddard teachers are kept abreast of current developmental trends and research, and are able to share ideas, express viewpoints and develop relationships among their peers.
Sue is also responsible for Quality Assurance programs that safeguard compliance with Goddard standards. Goddard QA representatives make unannounced, semi-annual visits to each School in order to assess compliance with a full range of Health and Safety policies and procedures, as well as Curriculum and Program performance.
Sue lives in Pennsylvania with her husband. They are the proud parents of their son, Brian.
About Dr. Kyle Pruett:
Dr. Kyle Pruett is a Clinical Professor of Child Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine. He is a prominent author, international lecturer, media personality and pioneering researcher, conducting the country’s only long-term study of the impact on children of primary caretaking fathers. Author of several award-winning books, he has also been a columnist for Good Housekeeping and Child magazines. He hosted his own Lifetime Television series, Your Child Six to Twelve with Dr. Kyle Pruett, and was chosen by Oprah Winfrey to host her award-winning video, Begin With Love., and by Peter Jennings to appear with him on the Children’s Town Meetings after 9-11.
Educated in public schools, Yale and Tufts Universities, he is an internationally known expert and forensic consultant on child, parental and family development, paternal involvement, children’s mental health, creativity, and the effects of media, trauma, and divorce on children. He maintains a practice in infant, child and family psychiatry. A member of the Performing Arts Medicine Association, Dr. Pruett is also a gifted musician and regularly performs as a soloist in opera, oratorio and vocal chamber music.
Dr. Pruett and his wife, Marsha Kline Pruett, Ph.D., reside in Connecticut and have three daughters, one son and two grandsons.
